CSNZ Covid19 Alert Level Update for New Zealand

Following Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern’s announcement that New Zealand will move to COVID-19 Alert Level 4 as of 11.59pm Tuesday 17 August, we are writing to advise that we will be ceasing all training operations from this time.

Auckland and the Coromandel area will be in lockdown for 7 days and the rest of the country for 3 days pending further decisions from the government.  At level 4, Vector Wero Whitewater Park will be closed, our staff and coaches will work from home.  We wish everyone in our community a safe journey to their own homes over the coming hours, and implore you to commit with good nature to the Lockdown guidelines.

We remind you of good health guidelines from the Government and High Performance Sport NZ, and to call Healthline on 0800 358 5453 or your GP if you have any symptoms.

We will communicate again in due course as news becomes available, and how we navigate the weeks ahead especially in relation to our upcoming Kouraura/Bronze Academy camp.

Finally, look after each other – stay well, get fresh air, share laughter and be kind.

Here’s some wellbeing tips from the Mental Health Foundation and the New Zealand Institute of Wellbeing and Resilience to help cope with the situation.

Best wishes to all our community.
