Congratulations to Kellie who was made a life time member of CSNZ at this year’s AGM.  Kellie has been involved in the sport for the best part of 30 years.  Her husband Roy was competing when they first met and their children Jess and Holly have also had heavy involvement.  Kellie has been involved with taking the Development Squad to Australia, she has been chief judge for Canoe Slalom New Zealand for 6 years, and has judged for the last 8 years at many world cups.  In 2019 she filled the role of chief judge at a world cup.  Kellie has judged at the Rio Olympic Games and has been confirmed as a judge for her 2nd Olympics in Tokyo.  Kellie has also been the recipient of a number of Prime Minister’s Scholarship's over the years.

Kayaking has always been a huge part of her life, both locally, nationally and internationally.  While her children have drifted away from competition, Kellie has only increased her involvement.  She's also been a long-time committee member, and has seen first-hand the remarkable growth in a sport that was once the epitome of minority.
