NOTICE OF CSNZ ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2021
CSNZ is the prime representative body of Canoe Slalom in New Zealand, constituted to promote and foster within New Zealand and internationally the sport of canoe slalom and other canoe disciplines as are deemed by the International Canoe Federation (“ICF”) to come under the auspices of canoe slalom.
CSNZ is an Incorporated Society, and as such governed by constitution, rules and a Board.
This notice hereby gives 60 days’ notice of the Canoe Slalom New Zealand Inc Annual General Meeting, to be held on Saturday 3rd of April 2021 at 6.30pm in the Tekapo Community Hall, Tekapo.
Items of business to be considered at the AGM and nominations for Board members to be received by the Chairman at chair@canoeslalomnz.org.nz not less than 30 days prior to the AGM. Applications for board positions must specify the Officer positions for which they seek election (if any) and whether if unsuccessful in election for the Officer positions they seek election to one of the other Board positions.
There will be three (3) elected vacancies:
Andrew Hawthorne currently elected will be standing down at the next AGM
Rob Egan currently appointed as Treasurer is re-standing for election as Treasurer
Warren Hales currently appointed is re-standing for election as Board member (Performance portfolio)
Applicants from both the North and South Island are invited to apply to ensure there is representation across the country.
The quorum for the meeting is 15% of the total number of members.
Voting Rights at the Annual General Meeting are as follows:
i Individual members have one vote;
ii Clubs have one vote;
iii Schools have one vote;
iv In the case of Family, Club and School members each may exercise its vote by a designated person who must be notified to the Association prior to the start of the meeting.
Proxy Votes are not permitted for Annual General Meetings.
