As we move into a new Olympic cycle, Canoe Slalom New Zealand is refreshing its Athlete Leadership Group (ALG) — and we're calling on passionate paddlers aged 16 and over to apply.
We want to extend a huge thank you to our current ALG members — Luuka Jones, Callum Gilbert, Nick Collier, Charlie Evans, Holly Sheaff, and Finn Anderson — for their dedication and mahi throughout the Paris cycle. Their voices helped shape a more athlete-focused environment in our sport.
Now, it’s your turn.
Why join the ALG?
As a member, you'll be the vital link between athletes and CSNZ leadership. This is your opportunity to:
Influence real change in how our sport is run and supported
Develop leadership and communication skills you’ll use for life
Connect with paddlers across the country
Ensure diverse athlete voices are heard and respected
Whether you’re just starting out in a development academy or competing at the national level, your voice matters.
We welcome applications from athletes of all backgrounds and experience levels — no prior leadership experience is required, just a passion for making canoe slalom better for everyone.
