Canoe Slalom NZ is pleased to announce its Athlete Leadership Group as follows:

Luuka Jones, Callum Gilbert, Finn Anderson, Nick Collier, Holly Sheaff and Charlie Evans.

As part of CSNZ's Strategic Plan to prioritise the wellbeing of athletes we have, as part of this process, implemented an Athlete Leadership Group which will provide:

• a forum for athletes to share their feedback on matters of interest and concern in relation to all aspects of the athlete pathway,  
• a mechanism for ensuring their views on important matters are heard and communicated to the Board of Canoe Slalom NZ.
• a link between the athletes and the management team.
• an opportunity to act as role models and to support other athletes in the sport and Performance Pathways programmes.

GM Pandora Fruean was impressed with the applications and that there is representation from all levels of the sport as well as representation from all regions in the country.  "I'm really looking forward to enriching the environment for our athletes and supporting this group so we can collectively enhance the sporting and non-sporting lives of our athletes.
