Canoe Slalom New Zealand has again been proud and fortunate to receive Prime Minister's Scholarship (PMS) support from HPSNZ for both athletes and officials.

At the recent PMS Awards dinner at the Don Rowlands Centre at Lake Karapiro in Cambridge, Finn Butcher received continuation of his award to support his studies alongside his high-performance career, while General Manager Graeme Maw was pleased to accept recognition of an Officials Award on behalf of Kellie Bailey, Dale Butcher and Sue Clarke. Kellie and Dale are being supported to further their international experience officiating at this season's World Cups, while Sue will be supported to attend the Junior & U23 World Championships in Krakow, Poland, in her capacity as Event Director for our own hosting of the event in 2021.

Prime Minister's Scholarships are seen as a key strategic advantage of the New Zealand High Performance Sport system, enabling parallel studeis for athletes and professional development for staff. Last year CSNZ also benefited from support for Kellie's international experience, translating directly in to the uplift of our video systems this year, and also for Aaron Osborne and Pierre Labarelle to further their international practise.

Information on Prime Minister's Scholarships can be found on the HPSNZ website.
